About
Rhonda Sauce is an arranger, band leader, composer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, from Oakland, California. In studying both classical and contemporary music, she developed a passion for Black American Music during her explorations of early-mid 20th century music. While learning the history that brought about these high art forms, she became inspired to share these stories through her music.
Rhonda has been fortunate to collaborate with some of the most brilliant minds in the Bay Area music scene, from Lenny Williams, Prince Damons, Henrick Jul-Hansen, Chris Amberger, Faye Carroll, Benny Watson, Keith Saunders, Jeff Chambers, Marcus Shelby, and Terrance Kelly. Her work has filled the rooms of several notable Bay Area venues including Freight and Salvage, The Sound Room, Yoshi's, and SF Jazz. Rhonda performs regularly at Mr. Tipples Recording Studio, Piano Fight, and Swig. Her most recent recording, "Back To You," exemplifies her loyalty to the music of yesteryear, forging ahead to craft her unique sound.
